GOOD OLE’ DAYS

Oh how I wish I was a teenager again! I had no worry in the world, besides going to school. I didn’t have to work, didn’t pay rent, and got free money from my parents, got to have a whole summer to do as I pleased. Those were the good days. When I would just worry about what my friends and I were going to do after school and on the weekend. On the days when we couldn’t think of anything to do we would just go down the street to the beach and have a bonfire. We would all just sit around the fire pits and do nothing but eat and talk. Than school would start all over again, and my parents would take me school shopping for all kinds of clothes! I didn’t have to worry about prices or sales. Now I’m on a budget and I have to watch what I buy. But I’m only getting older and those days are over. Now I have got to work for my own things. This can be very frustrating, but rewarding at times.  Now I have got to find different ways to enjoy life.

Dinner to Never Forget

I had just woken up from a nap when I heard my family yelling at me to get up. We were going out for dinner to honor my older brother graduation from school. This was a big accomplishment and an accomplishment that needed to be celebrated. I quickly got dressed and sprinted down stairs and into the car seat because we were going to Houston’s Restaurant in Irvine, California. This restaurant is known for a high price but also some of the best tasting food in the nation! We had not made reservations so we put our name on the waiting list and stepped outside to wait for our name to be called. They had massive umbrellas that had a couple Solaira Patio Heaters to keep the guests warm. Although it was very windy, the heat was not effected and kept my family warm and comfortable. The best part about the heaters was that they were silent and odorless. If I ever open a restaurant I am definitely going to use electric patio heaters to warm up my patio dining area. We had a very enjoyable dinner and then headed home and went to sleep because we were so full from dinner. This is one meal I won’t be forgetting any time soon!

MEMORABLE MOVIE NIGHT

What is your all time favorite movie? Mine is The Black Knight. I still remember my first ever watching it. I was shocked at how good the whole movie was. It was very well put together. I even remember the theater and what I had bought for snacks. A couple of friends and I really wanted to watch the movie but we were low on money, so we decided that we would sneak in some snacks that we purchased from the liquor store, to save us some money. We got the snacks in without a problem and enjoyed them as the movie played. After the movie we were all very impressed and in good moods so we decided to go have coffee and talk about each one of our favorite parts. it was late and getting very cold so we chose a coffee shop that had heaters and fire pits to keep us warm. That certainly had to have been most of our favorite movie nights in a very long time.

Fire Pits and an Artist

This winter has been one of the coldest in our recent history. During the summer time my family loves to entertain at our house and have friends and family over for a cup of coffee or even a large sit down formal dinner. This usually stops once winter comes, but this year is different! I took some advice from my neighbor and hopped online and started searching the net. There were many companies offering all kinds of fire pits. After about 30 minutes of searching I finally found one that is a good size and will offer a good amount of heat and also will look good during the day time, as an artist this is especially important! I looked at some of the other fire pit tables but none of them caught my eye. I placed the order right away and even received next day shipping absolutely free! Now my family and friends are nice and warm and my backyard still looks as good as can be!

FUN Fundraising

Most people don’t like fund raising. But with careful planning, it can be made into a very fun event!! Especially for the lazy kids who would much rather have their parents pay for it all just so that they won’t have to go out and do any work. My son can be categorized into the lazy kids. He expects me to just pull all kinds of money out of my pocket to pay for his sports programs, so that he doesn’t need to do anything. He is out of his mind. So since I cannot force a stubborn teenager to do what he doesn’t want to do, I sat down and started thinking of ways to make him want to fund raise and help me out with his finances. I realized he loves to spend time with his friends and he loves to eat as well. Just as I was thinking that an idea popped into my head; a car wash were they sold barbecued food and snacks, with the whole sports team. He would definitely not say no to that. So I went about planning the whole event. The kids also learned how to light up BBQ grills and how to barbecue certain foods. It was a perfect day for washing cars. When the kids would get hot and tired they would switch off resting under the 10′ x 13′ Rectangular Commercial Wood Market Umbrella. It was an enjoyable event, and we managed to raise more money than we thought. Now I have to think of another fund raising even that they kids will love.
